Their Christmas cheer Is welcoming after last months medical nightmare at Cedars-Sinai Medical Hospital in L.A. How Insane broke the story that the couples new born twins were given a massive of a drug called, Heperin. Last week the couple filed a law suit against the drug maker, Baxter Healthcare, alleging poor labeling. Yesterday it was all about coffee, kindness and the Christmas spirit.

Actor Dennis Quaid and wife Kimberly Buffington have decided to sue the hell out of Baxter Healthcare Corp., the makers of the drug Heparin.
Their newborn twins Zoe Grace and Thomas Boone were mistakenly given a massive overdose of the blood thinning drug Heparin by a careless nurse that didn’t even care to check the label and make sure she was injecting the newborns with the right medicine. The twins were in the intensive care unit at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. for a wile under massive testing, this was pretty serious! The Quaid’s attorney says the twins, “were in very critical condition for a while,” but appear to have recovered and “so far everything looks good.” However, the entire incident could have been prevented if the nurse wasn’t such a moron! I say sue the hell out of the so-called nurse that turned out to be a complete careless idiot and could have fatally harmed those newborns! Her license should be taken away for being such an fuckin idiot and not checking the labels! I mean the nurse was completely careless by not checking the label and she gave the newborns a dose of 10,000 units of Heparin twice, once in the morning and again at night, twice! The regular dose which is 10 units and there’s absolutely no excuse for that!
They filed the suit on the Heparin Company because obviously they could get more out of it for their damages then by suing a lousy nurse that’s to retarded to be in that field in the first place. They want to prevent this from happening to any other children ever again, said Loggans their lawyer. Apparently the vial of Heparin looks similar to the 10,000-units-per-milliliter vial of the drug, the difference is the colors, one’s light blue and one’s dark blue. Three children died in Indiana from a similar mix-up with the drug. Just goes to show what kind of careless people are we have working in our medical field today.
We’re told that the Quaids have not sued Cedars-Sanai yet, but they’re looking into it. Just yesterday, Baxter issued a news release outlining the company’s new “drug safety initiative” that promises to change the labeling of Heparin vials.

What went wrong was apparently, a pharmacy technician put the 10,000 units of Heperin where the 10 units of Heperin on the same shelf and the nurse failed to even check the label before injecting it into the babies. The labels are different color blues but the bottles are the same, what kind of an excuse it that?! What a fuckin idiot! After the story was aired Cedars-Sinai took full responsibility and came out with this statement, “This was a preventable error involving a failure to follow our standard policies and procedures and there is no excuse for that to occur at Cedar-Sinai.”

They were born November 8^th on Sunday afternoon at Cedars-Sinai-medical center in Los Angeles, C.A. A nurse mistakenly gave the two twin babies a massive dose of the drug Heperin. The normal dose per baby should be 10 units and the babies were given 10,000 units of Heperin each. We’re told that the babies were given one dose of 10,000 units on Sunday morning and then another 10,000 units Sunday evening. By Sunday night both babies started to quote, “bleed out.” We’re told they are now in the intense unit at Cedars-Sinai Medical Hospital. Sources say, a nurse at Cedars said the babies are stable, but we’re hearing the condition maybe far more serious.
