Doesn’t it seem like Wino’s hubby Blake has been in the clink forever? This trial for perverting the course of justice- a fancy Brit phrase for witness tampering- has been dragged out for ages. Blake Incarcerated, the no-good husband of everyone’s favorite celebrity crackhead, Amy Winehouse, pled guilty to the charges months ago, but could not be sentenced until the other defendants in the case were tried as well. Earlier today, Blake was sentenced to 27 months in prison–and his devoted wife was nowhere to be found during the court proceedings.

“Amy Winehouse’s husband was sentenced to 27 months in prison today for grievous bodily harm and perverting the course of justice.

Fielder-Civil had admitted beating up pub manager James King in a barroom fight in 2006 and then offering him £200,000 to keep quiet about it.

Judge David Radford told Fielder-Civil he had behaved in a ‘gratuitous, cowardly and disgraceful’ way.

Fielder-Civil has already served around nine months on remand and he could be free in four-and-a-half months if he behaves himself in prison.

Miss Winehouse was not in court today to support her husband.

Earlier, Fielder-Civil appealed to a judge to let him walk free so he could become a role model for the troubled singer.

Through his barrister, Fielder-Civil told of his love for his wife and determination that both will devote themselves to becoming clean.

Jeremy Dein QC, told Snaresbrook crown court: ‘They are very much committed to each other and their ambition is to divorce themselves from hard drugs and not separate themselves from each other.

‘Knowing the nation’s glare is upon him, Mr Fielder-Civil has every possible motive to rehabilitate himself in the way he has already shown he is fully committed to doing. He knows if he fails, an appointment with calamity awaits, not just for himself but for his wife.

‘He can now see that hard drugs are to be regarded as nothing other than a smiling assassin. He wishes now to become a role model for Miss Winehouse but he knows it would be impossible for her to alienate herself from drugs if he continues to befriend them.’

Mr Dein urged the judge to either impose a community order, a suspended sentence or a prison term of no more than 18 months, the equivalent time Fielder-Civil has served awaiting his sentence.

The court heard Fielder-Civil kicked James King on the ground as the victim was being beaten up by Michael Brown in a row over a girlfriend in June 2006.”

Blake Fielder-Civil appeared in court yesterday to plead not guilty to the charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice (The wordy U.K. equivalent of witness-tampering). What’s notable about this appearance is that his devoted wife Amy Winehouse was not there to cheer on “my Blaaaake, incarcerated” like she usually does. Instead, Amy was getting settled in at her new apartment while spending time with her sober companion, Blake Wood. Mean-while Blake showed off his never ending love for Amy by Showing his Amy Tattoo behind his ear as he appeared in court….alone.

That master of junkie manipulation, Blake Fielder-Civil, is at it again. Seems like every time his wife, Amy Winehouse, starts to get her life together again, he pulls a stunt from his cell in Pentonville prison in London– most likely, to get Amy to come running. If you recall, so far Blake has attempted suicide, sent his own mother running to the tabloids to spread rumors about Amy, wrote her a 2 page love letter begging her not to leave him….keep in mind, he is her husband! Now there are new reports that Civil overdosed on heroin in his cell over the weekend, after trying to numerously slit his wrists he happend to overdose for the 2nd time since he’s entered prison and been alone without his love, Amy Winehouse. Apparently, Blake Fielder-Civil was rushed to the jail’s hospital block when he collapsed in agony after taking what he thought was heroin. Guards found Blake writhing in pain and vomiting violently in a cell. They instantly set off alarms and activated emergency procedures to save his life. A probe was launched and prison officers found he had taken a drug believed to be heroin, mixed with a toxic substance. A jail source said: “This was a close call, but he might not be so lucky next time.” Poor guy he’s obviously got a lot of pain inside of him, but honestly…he’s gotta find a better way of dealing with it if he wants to live to see Amy again. He says, he’ll die for her, but the real question is….will he live for her also?
